Brian Schuler Participates in UF's Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity

Brian Schuler recently participated in the University of Findlay's 2017 Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity. Schuler received the Wal-Mart Scholarship, presented "Induction of Apoptosis and Generation of Reactive Oxygen Species by Novel Chalcone Derivatives" and presented "Modulation of Autophagy Proteins in Response to a Compound Designed as a Sigma-2 Receptor Agonist Derived from Tamoxifen."

Held on campus, undergraduate and graduate students were given the opportunity to share their research, creativity and professional learning experiences with the University and community. Many students received honors during the Symposium's awards ceremony.
